Holiday Readiness

TeaCup Living is nourishment in faith.

The holidays are coming?
The holidays are coming!
The holidays are coming.

Do I have the strength to face packing another turkey, the confidence to buy the best techie gift for our grandsons, and the comfort of opening our home to family and strangers?

If I focus on these things then the answer is a resounding “No!”
Nevertheless, over the years I’ve discovered the joy of serving well in preparations, events, and fellowship in the holiday season. My focus is the same as every day. I recruit the help of the Holy Trinity and hold fast to scripture promises.

It’s rare to have a day go by that I don’t take hold of the gifted promise life-line in Proverb 3:5-6.

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Proverb 3:5-6 (AMPC)

This holiday, I’ll be ready to pack the turkey, wrap the gifts with love, and serve with mighty power from each member of the Holy Trinity. God’s mighty power is my strength. Christ’s mighty love is my confidence. The Holy Spirit’s mighty presence is my comfort

Cathy, I'm keeping you and your dad wrapped in prayers. You've got this and God's got you. Shine on in your faith as the two of you stay by Christ's side.
