As I Do Tea

Proverb 17:22

As I bring out the kettle and fill it to the brim, joy begins to seep in.

As I wait for the water to boil,
I pray about what’s on my heart
today.

As I gather the teapot, the cup, spoon,
honey, and tea;
I lay down a memorized
scripture or two or three.

As I pour the steaming water over
the fragrant tea,
I breathe in the comforting delight.

As I wait for the tea to fully steep,
                       I heap praises
                       at Jesus’s feet.

Psalm 146:1

As the brew comes to perfection,
I pour out thanks to the One who
who transformed me
from bitterness to kindness.

As I pause over my teacup,
I invite the Redeemer
to join me at my tea.

As I sip the sweet tea,
I’m reminded that
I’m never alone,
Jesus Christ
is always
near
me.

Psalm 119:76

May your tea time preparations

be filled with joy, comfort,
and a sweet time in
Christ's uplifting presence.

Uplifting blessings,
Carolyn

I rarely pour a cup of tea without thinking of you. Such a lovely post, my friend.
